A silver-plated lidded dish, made by the English Martin Hall & Co, a renowned manufacturer of silverware. The company was founded in 1820 and existed until around 1936.
This dish is oval in shape, decorated with an edge of pearls. The lid engraved with a meander pattern, lotus leaves and cartouches. The volute-shaped handle can be twisted off, so that the lid can serve as a second bowl when placed upside down on the table.
In good condition. Some silver loss on the dish. Please view the photos for an impression.
