A set of 10 silver-plated dinner cutlery sets—consisting of dinner spoons and dinner forks—from Christofle's iconic Atlas collection, dating from the 1930's. These pieces were designed by Luc Lanel in 1929 for the first-class dining room of the steamship S.S. Normandie. This ship sailed between Le Havre and New York but sank in 1942.
Consisting of:
- 10 dinner spoons (20.5 cm)
- 10 dinner forks (20.5 cm)
In excellent condition.
All pieces are marked on the inside of the spoon bowls and under the tines of the forks with the Christofle hallmarks:
[O-Balance-C] above [CHRISTOFLE] and [O-Chess Piece-C] for Orfevrerie Christofle.
