Silver Plated English Cutlery Set - Rattail - mid 20th century

Beautiful English silver-plated cutlery with a classic "Rattail" pattern. This cutlery model is very similar in shape to the Haags Lofje cutlery, popular in the Netherlands. The handles are decorated with a heart-shaped ornament on the underside. At the back, the handles extend into the spoon bowls and the backs of the forks. This harks back to the old 18th-century custom of soldering the spoon bowls to the handles.
