Splendid silver-plated teapot and sugar bowl with lid in pure Art Deco style. This set was manufactured between 1925 and 1929 by the Parisian silversmith Orfevrerie Boulenger, following the "Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs et industriels modernes" exhibition held in Paris in 1925. The fan-shaped design of both the teapots and the handles is one of the most powerful expressions of the style. The handles are made of tropical hardwood (Indian Rosewood). The sugar bowl is remarkably large.
In excellent condition.
Marked on the underside with [Boulenger] [A-Crescent Moon-B].
