Extensive Silver Plated Cutlery Canteen - J. Brille, Paris - Louis XV - 125-piece/12-pax. France, c. 1965
A very extensive and complete silver-plated cutlery set in its original canteen, manufactured by the Parisian silversmith J. Brille around 1965. The cutlery is suitable for twelve dinner guests and consists of no fewer than 125 pieces with classic Louis XV contours. This model is also known as Chippendale. J. Brille was already active around 1920 with workshops at 59 rue Fontaine-au-Roi and 12 rue Debelleyme in Paris and continued to produce silverware until the end of the 1960s. The purchase receipt is included with the case, stating the purchase date of August 29, 1969.
