Christofle "Mascaron" Antique Set of 6 Silver Plated Pastry Forks - Paris, 1880-1900
An antique and very rare set of six silver-plated pastry forks in the very early "Mascaron" pattern by Christofle. This pattern was produced for only a short time during the late 19th century. The twisted stems terminate in a detailed Neo-Baroque handle featuring a lion's head, scrolls, and a lotus flower.
The final image shows the cutlery pattern as it appeared in the 1891 sales catalogue.
Length: 11,5cm.
Marked with [Christofle][A bee under C-Scales-C]. This maker's mark was in use between 1860 and 1914.
