Antique Art Nouveau Silver-Plated Jardiniere – Orfèvrerie Gallia, Christofle, 1919–1925
A resplendent, large silver-plated Art Nouveau jardiniere made by Orfèvrerie Gallia (Christofle), shortly after the First World War.
The design combines Neoclassical influences, including crossed ribbon motifs and laurel leaves, with a form characteristic of the Art Nouveau period. The crossed ribbons divide the smooth, convex surfaces into four distinct panels, creating an elegant contrast between the restrained decoration and the flowing shape.
The jardiniere comes complete with its original removable liner, fitted with two ring handles. A striking historical piece, ideal for displaying floral arrangements on a dining table, sideboard or in a cabinet.
