A pair of Napoleon III candelabras in Ormolu, patinated bronze and Onyx - France, 1850-1875
A large pair of Napoleon III candelabras. The 5 arms in gilt bronze (ormolu). These scrolling candlebranches are finely cast and end in bronze bobeches with floral-shaped disks. The silvered center a fluted collumn with gilded ornaments over a silvered and florally engraved globe with floral knobs. The high, stepped bases of Onyx.
These candelabras are almost certainly French and exhibit a curious mixing of historical styles as was populair in the third quarter of the 19th century. Price is for the pair.
