An American silver table spoon, made by the silversmith R. Wallace & Sons around 1904. This spoon from the Eton collection is made in the Art Nouveau style. The stem is designed in great detail with graceful tendrils and flowers.
In excellent condition. An elegant monogram adorns the bottom of the stem.
Marked on the back with [R.W.][Deer][& S][Sterling] for R.Wallace&Sons.

Wallace is one of the most famous silversmiths of the United States. The company was founded in 1835 in Wallingford, Connecticut, and grew into a major supplier of solid silver and silver-plated cutlery. The many patterns issued by Wallace are still loved by collectors in the United States and abroad.
