Silver Plated Rococo-style presentation dish - France, second half of the 19th century

Large presentation dish for snacks, sweets, cookies or business cards. This dish has an exuberant design in Rococo style, with a gracefully shaped handle of curling acanthus leaves. The dish itself is shaped like a leaf. Heavy quality and very detailed. The piece was made in the second half of the 19th century.

In excellent condition.

Marked on the bottom with a partly faded maker's mark of a bird with spread wings. Because the surrounding details of this have unfortunately been polished away over the years, further identification is not possible.
